Privacy and cookies
Last updated: 17 October 2026
This page explains what happens to your data when you use brutonaarnettoberekenen.nl to work out a Dutch net salary, the 30% ruling, holiday pay or a mortgage. It follows the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet, art. 11.7a). The Dutch version, the privacybeleid, says the same.
1. Who is responsible
- Publisher: Radif Partners
- Email: contact@brutonaarnettoberekenen.nl
2. What you type stays in your browser
Gross pay, hourly rate, tax credits, property value, age: every figure you enter is calculated by JavaScript in your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing is kept on your device once you leave the page. A share link carries your inputs in the page address: only send it to people you choose.
3. Cookies and audience measurement with Google Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful: pages viewed, referring page, visit length, device and browser type, approximate country and city. To do so Google Analytics sets two cookies on your device, and they are the only cookies on the site: no advertising cookie, no social media cookie.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Tell visitors apart with a random identifier | 13 months at most (390 days) |
_ga_WZKYFTS7CS | Google Analytics | Keep the state of the current visit | 13 months at most (390 days) |
These lifetimes are not extended on each visit; Google’s default is 2 years and the site shortens it. The IP address is anonymised: Google Analytics 4 neither logs nor stores it, and only uses it at collection time to derive an approximate country and city. The page address sent to Google Analytics is stripped of its parameters, so the inputs carried by a share link are not included. The site shows no advertising: ad storage, ad user data, ad personalisation and Google signals are switched off, and measurement data is shared with no advertiser.
- Purpose: audience measurement.
- Legal basis: the publisher’s legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, acting as processor under Article 28 GDPR.
- Transfers: data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
- Retention at Google: 14 months for visit-level and identifier-level data, then deletion; only anonymous totals remain.
- Objecting without writing to us: block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site and its calculators work the same way.
If you press the light/dark theme button yourself, your browser remembers that single choice locally
(localStorage key theme); it never leaves your device.
4. Anonymous stability check (Microsoft Clarity, no cookies)
To catch broken calculations quickly, we measure, technically and anonymously, how well the site runs:
script errors, loading times, clicks that do nothing and how far pages are scrolled. We use Microsoft
Clarity for this in its cookieless mode: before the Clarity script loads, it is told
that storage is denied. Clarity then sets no _clck, _clsk, MUID
or CLID, gives each page view its own random identifier and does not link visits together.
Page text and anything you type are masked in your browser before anything is sent.
- Recipient: Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland.
- Purpose: finding errors and slow pages in the calculators.
- Retention: recordings 30 days, aggregated figures 13 months.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest in a working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Objecting: block
clarity.msin your browser or with a content blocker, or email us; the calculators keep working.
Microsoft may process technical data in the United States under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. See privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
5. Hosting and email
The site is served by GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.), which keeps technical server logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security; we have no access to them. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, then delete them.
6. Your rights
Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR you may ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability, and you may object (for audience measurement, see the opt-out in section 3). We usually hold no data that identifies you, but you can always write to contact@brutonaarnettoberekenen.nl; we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
7. Changes
If the cookies or the measurement change, this page is updated first; the date at the top shows the latest version. See also our legal notice.
